Paws at Silko
Take Part in the Third Annual Paws at Silko
June 21st from 12-4 pm
The Third Annual Paws at Silko event, where Silko Honda teams up with the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) to find homes for pets, will be held on June 21st of this year from 12-4 pm, and interested residents are encouraged to attend the Facebook event to stay up to date on any news and announcements.
Silko Honda and the APCSM have been teaming up to find loving and caring homes for homeless pets for 2 years. They were not the only organizations involved, however. Many local businesses and vendors were on site to help with a variety of services.
This year’s vendors include:
Gentle on My Skin, Ana Marusich-Zanor’s Custom Dog Portraits, The Doggie Jar, Monkeyville, and Handcrafted by Kathleen, Comfy Critters of Cape Cod, Our Good Dog Spot, Vinyard Treasures, JC Wagmore All Natural, Cashlin Creations, and Luvyourdog
Set up as a new non-profit organization in the community, the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (http://www.apcsm.org/) was formed to serve both the people and the animals in the community with the goal of running an open-admission animal adoption and care center. They focus on animal education and outreach, low-cost spay/neuter options, the prevention of cruelty to animals, and much more.
Paws at Silko and the many other adoption events coordinated by the APCSM help to combat the over 4,000 animals each year that find themselves with no home in the surrounding communities, and the APCSM is dedicated to taking care of them until they can be placed in a new home.
