How to Get Stickers Off a Car (Body)

You can use the following products to get stickers off the body of your car in your Fall River driveway:

  • Car Washing Soap
  • Hairdryer
  • Plastic Card (Library Card, Membership Card, etc.)
  • Tree Sap Remover or Goo Gone Automotive
  • Microfiber Towels

4 Steps To Rid Your Car of Sticker Residue

Now that you have the products that can help you on how to rid stickers from your car, here are the next steps that will aid you in finally freeing your car of stickers:

  1. Use car wash soap to clean the sticker and its surrounding area gently.
  2. Hold the hairdryer two to three inches away from the sticker and turn it on high. Hold the hairdryer in front of the sticker for only a few seconds by blowing on the entire area, working your way inside out.
  3. Once the sticker is heated, you can use your plastic card to glide under the sticker to lift its edges gently. If the adhesive lifts, then you can slowly peel the sticker off. However, if the sticker comes off in bits or is stubborn, you may need to repeat the hair drying process.
  4. If you have residue from the sticker left on your vehicle, you can use tree sap remover or Goo Gone Automotive to wipe the excess away.

How To Remove Sticker Residue From a Car Window

Removing sticker residue from a car window is different from removing stickers from a car’s body. You can ditch the hairdryer and plastic card for a razor blade. Please be careful with the razorblade. If your windows are tinted, DO NOT use the razor blade on the inside of your tinted windows. Here are the products you need to remove sticker residue from a car window:

  • Razorblade
  • Microfiber Towel or Clean Soft Towels
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Dish Soap and Hot Water

4 Steps On How to Get Stickers Off Your Car Window

Use the equipment we recommend and follow these steps:

  1. Gently use the razor blade to loosen the sticker’s edges so you can peel the sticker off.
  2. Mix dish soap into hot water and, with a clean towel, begin to rub the sticker residue away. Hopefully, the sticker and its sticky residue are gone. But by the off chance that they are not, continue with the following steps.
  3. Use the razor blade to gently and carefully remove the residual goo
  4. If all else fails, use rubbing alcohol. Soak a soft cloth in the rubbing alcohol and scrub the sticker and its residue. Then use the razor blade once again to get the tiny particles off of your vehicle.
