Why is my TPMS light on?
Why is my TPMS light on? We hear this question quite often after the temperature drops significantly.
Big changes between high and low temperatures that typically happen in the fall can trigger your TPMS light (cutaway tire with an exclamation point) because tire pressure declines when the temperature falls. As a result, the TPMS light will turn on but the tires are fine and it will turn off once the tires are warmed. However, if the problem persists, you should call our Service Team to get it checked out!
Other reasons for your TPMS light to turn on include; small leak in tire, tires rotated and not reset, tire pressure in one or more tires have been adjusted or one or more tires have been replaced.
The TPMS is there as a reminder. If the problem is not fixed, it could lead to greater problems down the road. To prevent problems, stop by our Service Center or make an appointment to get your tires PSI checked out!
